With a season full of new endeavors, a residency with La Jolla Playhouse and a tour to the Dominican Republic this fall, Eveoke Dance Theatre will not be producing Celebrate Dance Festival in 2011.
Eveoke is looking to pass the CDF torch!!!
For 14 years Eveoke Dance Theatre has been producing this incredible free dance festival in Balboa Park. It has been a catalyst in making San Diego a dance destination and has attracted tourists from all over the country each August for three days of dance. CDF has also been a means through which San Diego’s own dance community has deepened its roots and collaborations.
We at Eveoke Dance Theatre are eager to realize a vision of CDF being a community-held festival. We know that the next producer and leader will mark the event with its own artistic imprint, which will only enhance the long-term legacy of Celebrate Dance Festival.
